Privacy Policy
coplan is a realtime collaborative list app for couples, families, and small groups. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible to make shared lists work.

Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in we collect your email address (used for the passwordless magic-link sign-in) and the display name you choose. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information those providers return.
Your content
We store the lists, tasks, subtasks, and list memberships you create, and who they are shared with, so the app can keep everyone in sync in real time. Content you add to a shared list is visible to other members of that list.
Technical & usage data
We collect limited technical data needed to run and improve the service, such as device type, app version, and basic in-app events (for example, that a list was created or an invite was sent). Advertising and analytics partners may collect device identifiers as described below.
How we use your information
- To provide the core service: creating, sharing, and syncing lists in real time.
- To authenticate you and send magic-link sign-in emails.
- To deliver invites and (with your permission) notifications.
- To show ads to users on the free tier, and to remove them for users who purchase the ad-free upgrade.
- To understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
Advertising
The free version of coplan shows banner advertisements. Ads on mobile are served by Google AdMob, and ads on the web by Google AdSense. These services may use device identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example, in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can choose non-personalized ads. On iOS, we use Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and only request tracking if you allow it. You can read Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If you buy the one-time Remove Ads upgrade, advertising and ad identifiers are no longer used for your account.
Purchases
Payments for the ad-free upgrade are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and managed through RevenueCat, which tells us whether your account is entitled to the ad-free experience. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly product analytics to count key actions (such as sign-ups, lists created, and invites sent) in aggregate. We do not sell your personal data.
How your data is stored & who processes it
Your account and list data are stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL, authentication, and realtime), hosted in the North EU region (Stockholm, Sweden). Access to shared list data is restricted by row-level security so that only members of a list can see its content. Our other processors are Google (advertising), Apple/Google/RevenueCat (purchases), and our analytics provider.
Sharing your information
We share content only with the people you invite to a list. We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the service providers listed above strictly to operate coplan, and we may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your lists and tasks at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at support@coplan.michaelwestergaard.dk.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above.
Children
coplan is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
